Your rides stay on your phone. There is no account, and nothing you record is uploaded to us.
This is a description of how the app actually works, not a statement of intent. RocketGT has no backend for your rides. There is no infrastructure on our side that could receive them even if we wanted it.
Your rides, speeds, distances, service records and settings are written to a database inside the app on your own device. They are not transmitted to us. You can delete all of it at any time from the Safety screen, and deletion is immediate and permanent, because there is no copy anywhere else.
RocketGT uses your location to measure speed and distance while you ride. With your permission it continues while the app is in the background, so a ride keeps recording with your phone in a pocket. Location is used to calculate your ride and is stored on your device. It is not sent to us, and it is not shared with any third party.
If sync is enabled, your rides move between your own devices through your personal iCloud account. That data is held by Apple under your Apple Account, not by us, and we have no ability to read it.
The emergency check-in never sends anything by itself.
If you turn it on, and you stop abruptly during a ride and do not respond to a prompt, your phone raises the alarm and shows where you are, with one tap to call the contact you chose or the local emergency number, and a text with your location ready to send. Nothing is sent automatically and nothing goes to us: your location leaves the phone only if you, or someone helping you, sends that text or makes that call. Turning the check-in off stops it entirely.
Starting with the update after version 1.36, RocketGT counts how the app is used, anonymously.
The app sends rocketgt.app a random ID it creates on your phone (not your Apple Account, not an advertising identifier, and replaced if you erase your data), the app version, your phone's language, and a short list of events: that the app was opened, which tab you opened, that a paywall was shown, and whether a purchase went through, was cancelled or failed. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, adds the approximate country; your IP address is not stored.
It never includes your rides, speeds, routes, location, your bike or your emergency contact. We use these counts only to see how many people use RocketGT and where the app can be better. They are kept with no automatic expiry, are not linked to you, are not used for advertising, are not sold or shared, and are never combined with the website records below. Erasing your data in the Safety tab replaces the ID, so earlier counts can no longer be connected to your phone.
A small version of every photo in the bike catalogue is built into the app. The sharp, full-size version is downloaded from media.rocketgt.app when a bike appears on your screen, and then kept on your phone. That request carries nothing but the name of the photo. Like any download it reaches our hosting provider, Cloudflare, from your IP address; we keep no log of these requests and never connect them to you. With no signal, the app simply shows the built-in version.
Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. We receive only Apple's confirmation of whether a purchase is active, which carries no personal information.
rocketgt.app counts its own visitors so we can tell whether anyone finds it. When a page loads, our hosting provider Cloudflare records your IP address, approximate country, region and city, which page you opened, a referral category (such as search or social), your device type (phone, tablet or computer), and when and how often you visited. No cookies are used, and your browser details and full web addresses are not stored. These website records are kept with no automatic expiry, are never linked to the app, and are not sold or shared. IP-based location is approximate and may reflect a VPN or mobile network. To ask for access or deletion, write to support@rocketgt.app.
RocketGT is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the date below changes with it. Any change that would cause data to leave your device will be stated plainly in the app before it happens, not buried here.
